This charming little guy is ready to make you fall in love with him! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Henry, a one year old Chow Chow and Corgi mix from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. This adorable little pooch is neutered and up to date on his shots. Henry does well with other dogs but doesn’t get along with children, so he requires an adult-only home. Also, as Henry has a high prey drive, he probably wouldn’t be a good choice for a family that lives with cats.
This cute little fella was found in Texas as a stray- he was hiding out in an abandoned house. Luckily, he was rescued from these horrible conditions and given a second chance when he was placed in his foster home. Henry is now looking for a perfect furever home where he can be pampered and loved as he deserves. He is still a bit wary and suspicious of new people and requires time to properly relax in new situations. Of course, once he realizes that you’re not a threat, he’ll show his affectionate, adorable side.
Henry might be a small pooch but he has a big personality. He is sweet and loves cuddles and snuggling- but he’s not always a couch potato. Despite his short legs, he’s very quick and full of energy, and he’d love living in a house with a fenced backyard. Ideally, he’d share his home with a four-legged friend, as he loves playing with other dogs (he shares his foster home with four other canines and loves it). He has a high prey drive around squirrels and birds, so his rescuers assume that cats could trigger the same kind of response. Children are a no-go for Henry, so he can only fit in an adult-only home.
If you have been charmed by Henry’s short legs and sweet nature, contact Paddy’s Paws for more information about the adoption process.
A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she’s not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
